Monday, January 20th, 2014Aston University, De Montfort University, the University of Birmingham and the University of Leicester Ahlulbayt Islamic Societies invite you to our flagship Milad un Nabi event, celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him and his purified family).
This promises to be a unique and celebratory night, presenting the first ever Midlands Absoc Awards (with a chance for audience members to win prizes too!), an Inter-ABsoc Qur’an competition and Poetry and Nasheeds by Husein Virji, Imran Datoo and Hadi Gubbanchi, as well as an enlightening talk by Syed Zafar Abbas! It will also include the main attraction- a three course meal to tantalise your tastebuds 🙂
The event will be chaired by Sadiq Damani.
Tickets are priced at £12 for members of an Ahlulbayt Islamic Society and £15 for non-members until the 28th of January, thereafter the prices will rise to £15 and £17.
The event is open to ages 16+ with a focus on past, present and future University students.
